I am Jon Keimach Jr. and I am a C5/C6 Quadriplegic complete from an off road motorcycle accident on August 1st, 2001 when I was 14 years old. On October 9th, 2014 I started a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Recovery Program. The reason being is because I have been injured 10+ years and I am experiencing difficulties in living with SCI. My spasms in my legs are at their peak and the only way to get rid of them is exercising and moving my legs. My doctor will only prescribe me more medication not prolonged therapy. For the last few years my doctor has been recommending a surgical procedure to install a pump inside my abdomen to help reduce my spasms that I really do not want. Luckily I live near the Project Walk in Claremont, CA and can attend regularly so I can get rid of them and not need to be dependentmedication anymore. Along with these efforts I will be doing all types of therapy to gain more movement and abilities, I will be standing all the time to prevent osteoporosis, and everything I do here is all intense activity based therapy so I will be getting very healthy and active. Going here twice a week combined with the things I can do from home should give me an improved quality of life. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
